iD Magazine is currently
seeking co-editors of the Fashion page.
As you can see below, William is very talented. He can take an ordinary pair of jeans and a jacket and turn them into works of art. This is what William calls "Metamorphic Art" because he adds scraps of material and other things to create something totally new. You can also view seven of his pictures on the Miscellaneous Art page, which he starts with a black and white print and adds color and 3-D objects for a unique effect. William started creating art in 1972 and majored in ceramics. He lived in Jacksonville, Florida, from 1980-1994 before relocating to his current home in Jupiter, Florida. William finds material and objects for his "found" art at garage sales, thrift stores, and even at the curb. He is currently fascinated by creating mosaics. Some of his artwork is for sale and he can create fashion and miscellaneous art especially for you. Contact him at the e-mail address above for more details.

Kristina
Briseno
Kristina was born in Los Gatos,
California USA in 1979 and has lived in Westwood, Kansas USA for the last 4.5
years. Her art background is mostly self-taught, however, she did attend
the Naropa Institute in Boulder, Colorado for a brief period. Kristina enjoys the simple fact that during times of depression in history people made everything out of paper. Hats, curtains, dresses, shoes, whatever they needed they made out of paper. Well now is not a time of depression, but it's the love of making functional art out of paper in which she has found her groove. Kristina's business, XYZ Handbags, is now born. She created handbags that are covered in tightly woven strips of paper. They were beautiful but didn't have the edge she was after. Then she discovered an amazingly creative letterpress print shop called Hammerpress in the Crossroads District of Kansas City. Kristina fell in love with their concert/event posters.(hand printed letterpress posters) and talked with the store owner about making handbags out of his posters. He was very enthusiastic. All XYZ handbags are made out of dense cardboard called chip board then covered with a hand printed poster, very similar to the way it is done with upholstery. Then she lines the handbag with her hand printed letterpress XYZ paper lining. The closure is magnetic. The handbags are then sealed to be water resistant. Most clutches shown measure 13" wide by 6" high. Perfect for your cell phone, lip gloss, and wallet.
